Ray is serves as the Product Owner (Release and Change) at Converse in Boston, MA. Merrill Charette is a well-known figure in the marine industry, with a passion for advancing the field of marine repairs. Since co-founding United Marine Systems in 2019 and then SHIPSHAPE in 2020, he has made significant contributions to the industry by actively networking at boat shows, conducting podcasts with experts, mentoring young professionals at vocational schools, and developing a cutting-edge marine services platform.
In addition to his work in the marine industry, Merrill is also an accomplished individual with a diverse range of interests. He graduated from Rhodes College with a degree in Cultural and Intellectual History, where he was instrumental in creating the college's first newspaper, "The Sou'Wester." He has also set up several non-profit Parkinson's fitness classes for the Jewish community in Memphis, Tennessee.
In 2018, Merrill accomplished the incredible feat of thru-hiking the entire Appalachian Trail (GA-ME) and was later featured as a key character in the book "I Only Go North" by Peter Krentz. After completing the trail, he moved to Boston to attend Suffolk Law, where he discovered his love for sailing aboard his 40ft sailing yacht - Alabaré - and continues to do so to this day. In 2020 he held the record for charters in Boston Harbor.

I am a Senior Product Designer with over 25 years of experience. I am still hands-on and love designing engaging experiences. Design is not just a profession but a passion I live by. I am one of the few Pakistani Designers who has worked with UBI Soft, Marvel, EA, Google, Porsche, and Cisco, to name a few.
Working in SaaS Industry has been a venture I have explored for around ten years, where I have managed large teams of more than 100 designers and managed production of over 8 million USD (monthly average).
Product Design is an addiction that I am very proud of. For the past two years, I have started exploring intelligent products that are AI / ML based, developing more engaging and data-driven experiences for broader demographics. Also, among the first 21 filmmakers selected from Pakistan, in a US consulate & Seeds of Peace, India Pakistan cross-border peacemaking project KDKP 21.
